Lady Bulldog Rankings

Preseason polls have laid down big expectations for the Lady Bulldogs in 2012.

The Houston Chronicle area rankings for 4A & smaller schools listed us as #2, right behind #1 Friendswood.  Kylie Randall was on the preseason All Houston team.

On the Lone Star Volleyball website, Magnolia is ranked at #10 in the state with all 5A, 4A, and all other classifications included.

MILLER on Youth National A2 Team

Congrats to Morgan Miller, Lady Bulldog upcoming Sophomore, for being selected to the USA Volleyball Girls Youth National Team A2 Roster.  Morgan will represent us at the High Performance Championships!

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (May 31, 2012)- USA Volleyball is pleased to announce the 2012 U.S. Girls’ Youth National A2 Volleyball Program roster that will compete at the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships (HPC) in July.

The roster, which includes athletes born in 1996 or 1997, consists of 33 athletes from 19 different regions who have earned a spot on the team through participation at any of the USA Volleyball Girls’ Indoor High Performance tryouts. The program includes six liberos, nine middle blockers, 12 outside hitters and six setters.

These athletes will attend a five-day USAV HP training camp before the HPC in Des Moines, Iowa, from July 19-29 at the Iowa Events Center. After the five days of training, the players will be divided into three teams of 11 members for the tournament that takes place July 24-28.

The three teams will compete at HPC against international teams, Region High Performance teams and other USAV HP teams.

The team will be led by Shelton Collier, head coach of Wingate University. Collier is no stranger to USA Volleyball, as he has served as the head coach of several U.S. Girls’ Youth National Volleyball Teams, as well as the Youth and Junior A2 National Volleyball Teams in 2002.

Randall Named to Preseason Team
