In the second set the Lady Bulldogs took an early lead and had a 6 point edge at one point, leading 11-5. The DAWGS jumped out front behind a Hannah Davies service ace at 1-0, a Michele Williams blast at 2-1; followed by Jamie Kaleh's tip shot at 3-1; then a Williams/Kaleh assist block at 5-2; a Meagan Little kill at 6-5; 3 straight hitting errors by the MAVS and a Hannah Fort shot in the middle put the DAWGS in great shape at 10-5 and a time out was needed by Round Rock to take their pulse and check for damage control.

Once Magnolia hit 11 points, the Lady Mavs turned up their heat and turned the tables running up 11 points to the Lady Bulldogs' 5, and tying the set at 16-16. The game belonged to anyone at this point as suddenly the match was turning from a DAWGIE runaway to a great comeback by Round Rock. The Lady Mavs took the lead at 17-16 while the error prone DAWGS were suddenly spinning and Round Rock looked to be firmly in control leading 21-18, but the Lady Bulldogs played the hand they were dealt with and came back 3 straight to tie it up at 21-21. Just when the Lady Mavericks thought they were going to close this one out and tie the match up at 1 - 1 with their cards, the Lady Bulldogs dropped the winning ace serve on them, dealt by Jamie Kaleh and.....poof.....!! It ain't happenin'...!!
