DAWGS Declaw Lady Bears in 3

The Lady Bulldogs took care of business tonight taking the Montgomery Lady Bears down the path of righteousness - or more commonly known as the second tier of District 18-4A - defeating the tough Lady Bears in 3 (25-21, 25-16, 25-19). The DAWGS were too much for the Lady Bears to handle this evening and despite the Lady Bears hanging around keeping the set close, when it got time for the Lady Bulldogs to stretch it out, they went on some impressive runs, never looking back!

District 18-4A win with a DAWGIE Dance!

In this third set, once the DAWGS led at 2-1 they only relinquished the lead twice at 10-11 and 15-16 en route to a series of earned points by Breane Matula with a shot down the line at 15-15; a Katzy Randall (dink at 16-16); an Angi Gould dink at at 19-17 sandwiched between 2 'solamente, excellente' kill shots by Meagan Little at 18-17 and 20-18 with the DAWGS circling the wounded Lady Bears. Breane took the last kill to ice the Bears 25-16 and take an early break to head for the varsity football game!

the only opening, well ahead of the defenders' arms.

Kelli Stewart led the team with 12 kills and 11 digs and played magnificently as Katzy Randall was a close second with 11 kills to go with her 9 digs; then Meagan Little's 9 kills, Courtney Felinski's 6 kills; Breane Matula had a solid 5 kills; with 1 kill apiece from Angi Gould, Hannah Davies, and Paige Holland.
