DAWGS Break Even in Pearland Tournament Play

The Lady Bulldogs swept 3 and lost 3 in Pearland tournament play while handling the Seven Lakes Lady Spartans in 2 sets (25-21 and 25-21); clipping the Bellaire Lady Cardinals (25-12, 25-9), and galloping by the Kingwood Lady Mustangs in 2 (26-24, 25-19) before falling to the Lady Warriors from Arlington Martin in a tough 3 sets (25-18, 23-25, 23-25); the Round Rock Lady Dragons from Austin in 2 (17-25 and 23-25) and the Smithson Valley Lady Rangers in 3 (25-17, 21-25, with the tie breaker 22-25).

Kelli Stewart led the DAWGS with 8 kills in each of the first two matches and 10 kills in each of the second two. The Lady Bulldogs will be traveling to take on the Lady Spartans at the Stratford gymnasium on Wednesday Sept 3.
