Name: Courtney Felinski, Magnolia
• Notable: The hitter had 30 kills, eight aces and eight blocks last week as the Bulldogs started district play with wins over Caney Creek, Magnolia West and Waller. All three matches were Magnolia wins.
• Quotable: “She was our kill leader in the games against West (14) and Waller (12). She was great as we started our district schedule.”

• Kendall Burgess, Second Baptist: In a five-game battle with Concordia Lutheran on Thursday, Burgess had 18 kills to lead the Eagles to a 25-17, 25-21, 21-25, 16-25, 15-11 win.
• Kristen Cruse, Deer Park: Cruse had 13 kills on Wednesday and nine on Friday to help Deer Park grab wins over Pasadena and Sam Rayburn.
• Lexi Erwin, College Park: Erwin had 18 kills in the Cavaliers’ five-game win over district rival The Woodlands on Friday night.
