DAWGS and Tigers Start to Tangle...

The Magnolia Lady Bulldogs had just mauled the St Agnes Lady Tigers (25-11) in the first set, but St Agnes has as many talented players, and as great of a proud tradition in the world of TAPPS ladies volleyball as any of the comparable top programs the DAWGS have faced this season. This one was not going to be easy - it will never be easy!

Lady Bulldog libero Brittany Wheaton 'turning

the tide' in Magnolia's favor with her passing.

St Agnes came out roaring in this set jumping out to a 7-1 lead behind a series of errors by the Lady Bulldogs who suddenly woke up and fought their way back to even the set up behind Michele Williams' kills at 2-7 and 4-8; Meagan Little blasting one off the Tigers' paws at 7-8; and Jamie Kaleh nailing one (of her 6 kills for the evening) at 8-10 before a couple of passing errors by the Tigers forced St Agnes to call a time out and regroup with the score tied at 10-10. And regroup they did.... The Lady Tigers opened up a 4 point spread at 18-14; and the DAWGS had to start closing the gap. This file picks up with the Lady Bulldogs trailing at 18-21:
