Well, Lady Bulldog fans - here's a little off-season news about some of our ladies:

LoneStar Volleyball just released their coveted 2005-2006 All-Texas Team list and the 2005 Magnolia Lady Bulldogs are well represented. It may be the most comprehensive 'top talent' list around as they combine school and club credentials. Here's the breakout:

Honorable Mention:
Lauren Michael

Special Recognition (alphabetically):
Hannah Fort
Alicia Shaffer
Michele Williams

I apologize if I inadvertently missed a selection or if I left anyone out. A rousing CONGRATULATIONS goes out to the Lady Bulldogs!!!

Lady Bulldogs 'Move It On Over ' Into District 15-5A

Holy Frijole,
Lady Bulldogs fans!!...........the (unofficial) news from the Texas UIL was just released today....

The Magnolia Lady Bulldogs have been re-aligned into a new district (from 17-5A to 15-5A) with the local districts now looking like this for the time being (in alphabetical order):

District 15-5A

Conroe
Oak Ridge
The Woodlands
Woodlands College Park
Lufkin
Magnolia

District 16-5A

Klein
Klein Collins
Klein Forest
Klein Oak
Spring
Spring Westfield
Tomball

District 17-5A

Cy Creek
Cy Fairbanks
Cy Falls
Cy Ridge

Cy Springs
Jersey Village
Langham Creek
Strake Jesuit

This re-alignment also puts the Magnolia Lady Bulldogs in Region 2 which covers from the North Dallas area (District 9-5A thru District 12-5A) to Cedar Park / Round Rock area (the always strong District 14-5A), the College Station area (District 13-5A) and as far down to the Spring / Klein area (District 16-5A). Our friends at Tomball are probably relieved somewhat now that they're in District 16-5A - but all of our newly made 'friends' in District 17-5A can really breathe a sigh of relief since they are not going to have to face Magnolia in 2006 (unless, of course, they happen to represent their district in the PLAYOFFS!!). It will be very interesting to see in 2006 what sort of an effect, if any, this will have on the ladies volleyball program. IMHO, the 2006 Lady Bulldogs Volleyball program looks like it's poised to be the best in years and it should be an exciting and fun season playing some new foes!
GO LADY BULLDOGS !!!
