It seemed as though these two teams were evenly matched and the fans were going to be treated to another 5 game marathon, but as it turns out - the Lady Bobcats were able to raise the bar and take advantage of the momentum and confidence they suddenly had. There were some great matchups with recognizable names like Nneka Ogwumike, Michele 'Boom Boom' Williams, Alexis Ninos, Alicia Shaffer, Jennifer McClean, Lauren Michael, Caleigh McCorquodale, and Mary Chadwick. Throw in newbies Hannah Fort and Jessica Gilbert and it was a downright battle for the ages (and for years to come)! For those checking their scorecard: Jennifer McClean finished as the kill leader for the evening with 13 kills for Cy Fair and Lady Bulldog Lauren Michael finished with 11.
This was a match instead that lasted about 1:15 as Cy Fair never relinquished the lead in Game #2 leading by as much as 8 points through much of the game. Game #3 the Lady Bulldogs kept it close at first, but lost their Mojo around 7-10 and ended up closing the gap somewhat at 19-23, but then packing it in early at 20-25.
