DAWGS Too Strong For Tigers

Magnolia's Michele Williams had an All Star performance racking

up 15 kills and 4 assist blocks against the St. Agnes Lady Tigers.

The Magnolia Lady Bulldogs rode the momentum from Set 3 through this deciding set to finish off the St Agnes Lady Tigers 25-16. The DAWGS spread the wealth around in this one, led by Michele 'Boom Boom' Williams who dazzled them with her patented Glide for a kill at 3-2, at 4-3; then with a couple kills at 12-8 and a spectacular "Happy Birthday" hammer shot at 13-8; a classic Williams/Kelli Stewart combo block assist at 15-9; and a timely tip for a point at 17-11. Alicia Shaffer followed closely behind with a kill at 8-7 to keep the DAWGS out front in the middle of the set; then added a "Happy Birthday" tip of her own at 19-13 and a solid shot to the Lady Tiger's floor at 20-14. The supporting cast in this TEAM play added some firepower as well. OH Meagan Little topped off her (perhaps) finest match of the young season (9 kills, 1 solo block and 3 block assists) with a solid shot off the Lady Tigers' hands at 6-5; OH Ashlynn Newman had a kill at 5-4; MB Hannah Fort hit a bullet at 7-7; but more importantly - all at opportune times to keep a tight set from going the other way and the DAWGS from having to go to set 5 and have to outclaw the Lady Tigers in their own den. Here the audio file picks up at: 22-15 with DAWGS leading the way.

What could be said about these two angels that hasn't already been said...?
