In the second set - Magnolia had the crowd thinking "SHUTOUT" as the DAWGS sprinted ahead 12-0 behind totally unrestrained firepower starting from Michele 'Boom Boom' Williams slam at 2-0; and again at 5-0; a solo block at 7-0; and a boomer at 12-0; then adding in a high flyin' Kelli Stewart missle at 3-0; a Hannah Davies ace serve at 6-0; and a rash of errors from a shaken opponent that must have had fans for both teams thinking they were going to see volleyball's version of baseball's no-hitter!

But a ball hit out of bounds, changed all that at 12-1 and the Lady Bulldogs went back to work with a Jamie Kaleh block at 14-2; a Williams' hit off the Tigerettes' paws at 15-2; then another 'K Bomb' inside the 10' line at 16-2 to make this game look like "....cruel and unusual punishment." Coach J mercifully emptied the bench allowing Conroe to regain some momentum and much needed respect from their quiet, but well attended, fans and the DAWGS skated to a 25-19 finish.
