The YO YO BRO'S were in force and ready to give
the Lady Bulldogs a hand if they needed one.
The Lady Cavs walked into a 'one-two' punch from the onset when Michele 'Boom Boom' Williams solo blocked their first attack at 1-0; then sliced a 'Sidewinder' kill shot at 2-1 and a little later with a blast off the defenders' hands at 4 to 2 - to serve notice that this champ was ready to rumble! The DAWGS quickly ran off points as the rotation came around with Hannah Fort (2 block assists and a kill at 8-4) and Kelli Stewart ( block assist and 2 kills) mostly responsible for inflicting the damage that put the Lady Bulldogs in charge at 12-5. Still the DAWGS surged forward outscoring the Cavs 9 to 4 behind a couple of Meagan Little hits at 15-8 and 17-8 along with several generous Cavs' errors; positioning themselves for an early knockout punch attempt at 21-9. All that was needed was a Brittany Wheaton ace serve, a Hannah Fort blast off the defenders' hands and another Williams' Sidewinder "shocker" at 25-10, and ....whamm, iced 'em, ...breakout the smelling salt please!
