Game #3 started out tight with little breathing room for both teams. The Lady Bulldogs jumped out to a small 5-2 lead and stretched it to 8-4 before the Lady Rams head-butted their way back to a 8-8 tie. Both teams stayed neck 'n neck at 11-11, 13-13, until Alicia Shaffer's kill at 19-17 helped the Lady Bulldogs pull away. Hannah Fort had a nice kill at 23-17, and from there the Lady Bulldogs applied their 'go-ahead Bulldog power' to cover up the Lady Rams at 25-17. Lauren Michael led the good guys and all hitters with 13 kills and Samantha Dee had 5 for Cy Ridge. This District 17-5A win puts the Lady Bulldogs district record at 5-2 (with the school's 4th sweep of the season) and an impending battle with our rival Tomball Lady Cougars to be played Thursday night in Tomball.
