The spectators were treated to one heck of a game in Set 2 when Dulles jumped out in front early behind some untimely errors by the Lady Bulldogs only to have Magnolia draw even behind some nifty blocks and Lady Bulldog OHL Kelli Stewart kills that would have Magnolia in charge at 8-7. But again some ragged play by the DAWGS allowed the Lady Vikings to be in charge throughout the set and hold a 6 point advantage at 21-15, a 7 point edge at 23-16, then back to a seemingly comfortable 6 point lead at 24-18. That's when things started to get interesting! A kill by OHR Ashley Newmann made it 24-19, a block made it 24-20; a Viking error made it 24-21 and a time out was called by Dulles to regroup. Time in...serve receive error 24-22, error 24-23, error 24-24, error 25-25, and out-of-bounds hit by Dulles put them down 25-26. Holy Toledo! ..... the DAWGS had scored 8 straight at set point! The DAWG House was howling!

Well, maybe not for too much longer.....3 straight errors by the DAWGS put the set back in the Lady Vikings' camp 28-26. Not what we wanted to see, but exciting none-the-less! Vikes hang on to win Set 2.
