Set 3 and the Lady Bulldogs took it up another level with their incredible assortment of hitters and team play. Magnolia continued to out-class Langham Creek by remaining aggressive and staying focused. Kelli Stewart started the set out with a big hit off the defenders' hands at 1-0; Michele Williams had a nifty left handed kill at 2-0; Kristyn Bergen with a kill at 3-0; Jamie Kaleh jammed them at 5-3; then Hannah Fort, then Kelli again, then a big crushing kill by Alicia Shaffer at9-7; then Kelli again...and yet the Bulldogs had a modest 2 point lead at 10-8.
Lady Bulldog Michele Williams continued to turn the momentum
around with her BIG play. Michele finished the sweep with 14 Kills.
Wait a minute, this doesn't seem so great...all this hitting and Magnolia is only up by 2 points? Well yeah, true....but basically, 8 out of Magnolia's first 10 points were earned points and not 'gifts'....and the Bulldogs were far from being done. Before they knew it, the Lady Lobos were facing a monsterous 'Boom Boom' Glide kill from Michele Williams on the right at 11-8; and an equally impressive meteor of a shot on the left side from Michele at 12-10, before Kristyn Bergen blew another kill by them at 13-10 and though things got a little closer (temporarily)....the Lady Bulldogs chomped down on them HARD at 14-14 going forward. This file begins at 20-17 with Magnolia in charge and the set is under their control even if it seems close on the scoreboard.
The Lady Bulldogs are going to close this one out!!! ......EEeeeeeoooooooowwwww!!
